Read Only Memory is an anonymous memoir of the future. The narrator of our story remembers hearing a boy wanting to record a shooting star onto videotape so that he could make a wish whenever he wants. Our hero watches Elvis on re-runs and for him, seemingly, comfort can only be found in late night television.
